The cotton lining could be in danger of being ripped, cut, or removed without another unlined pair to relax in at home.😄

I have a polyester/ cotton lined pair I wear outdoors in the winter, to be warmer. The nylon is a good wind blocker too. I change out of them once indoors though- prefer unlined and really like the feel of the soft smooth nylon- very lightweight and comfy.
