As for me, I wear them in public without any hesitation and embarassment.
I've myself enough under control to not get too excited,... well, as soon as my wife doesn't get too cheeky and makes me hard on purpose to provoke exactly THAT.
It's weird, she doesn't like nylon at all but she accept it on me and can be a real jerk to me at the most inappropriate moments.
But as far as I can tell,... NOBODY spend a second on seeing me im my nylon trackies.
Of course I wear always FULL suits where jackets match the pants and with decent colours.
Usually solid blue, black and even camouflage, but never like a rainbow.
It's casual enough today that I can wear them even at work at the police, because I'm a technician.
Of course I have always a clean pair of jeans and a shirt to change into if I'm called to an spontaneous official meeting.
But I see more and more younger people wearing the old fashion.
Some retro, some genuine vintage.
Even my nylon shorts don't get any attention, of course I wear them a bit looser, not bulging too much, but always without underwear.
Maybe Berlin is a little bit more openminded than other cities, but I think you can wear your suits without problems, as long as they are NOT TOO flashy and noticeable.
And if you're doing sports than even an obvious bulge is OK, but don't push it more than it is.
Show your assets but don't be pornographic.
