Do you like the look of shiny nylon / shellsuit tops when they're tucked in?

Anyone like the look? I had a crinkly shellsuit and sometimes tucked the top into the bottoms, but saw probably one person tuck a shiny top into their jeans like the woman in this clip.

If I were to wear a shellsuit top tucked in I'd have a thick jumper on underneath to bulk it out.

I have never thought about it, but I think done the right way this could look real nice

I love to see t-shirts tucked into tracksuit bottoms. Preferably with the waist tied up nice and neat. Then the jacket can go over the top and "hide" it, only to be revealed if it's opened, or taken off. It's very sexy to me.

But I do like the form, so to speak, of how tracksuits cinch at the waist. But I prefer the jacket untucked, personally.

... but with a nicely tucked in tshirt underneath. :)

In my case it's similar like Theo wrote... I wear my T-shirt tucked in the trackpants but only if I pull over an jacket, otherwise I don't tuck it in. A jacket or pullover don't belong in the pants according to how I was raised 😅

I would say it's just not my style 🤷... But I would never judge people who like it that way, it's just a different style.

But if it counts, I think Body's under Trackpants are really nice...

That is a completely fair enough comment. I think I've only seen two people wear shell jackets tucked in. I have a few lightweight nylon rainjackets (not padded) that I have worn like that. It's the look of gathered fabric which I like. It's likely a case of me being unusual in liking nylon gear worn a certain way, and that's fine.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I actually do that too, but rather unconsciously. For example, if I'm wearing several layers on top of each other, I also tuck the jacket into my pants ... But I think that doesn't count........

Great to hear about it. What makes you think it doesn't count? because I think the outfit would look great. :)

Interesting point, which makes me wonder whether you'd want to see the jacket or the bottoms their entirety. I'm more a bottoms guy in that respect, or more wanting to see the belt (if jeans) or elasticated waist of the bottoms, and gathered material on the top.

I'd say it's either a look or functional. Or maybe a combination of both if possible...
When taking pictures I'm more after a good look. That works out more or less sometimes depending on many factors (motive, perspective, colors, style of clothing, light,...)
But what's good looking?
Beauty is entirely in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? ;).

🤣 BäM .... Jep that's interesting, I agree. But anyway I would say it's just a different way of style.

I would say I'm the Jacket type ... but it's not the "I like it more than" but just the normal way I know it. Everything what's underwear could be tucked in everything what is outerwear not. You can see it like it's just my personal sight or as it wrote before it's the way I was raised and it's still usual to me 😅

Functional clothes are (for me) a completely different topic, so if I wear 2pcs basic layer f.e. i would probably tuck the top into the pants...

When you say jeans, I completely agree with you. I also like it very much when you can see the belt well, very much like a wide belt with possibly a crop top or a body underneath, I also like that very much but then (for me) the sweater or jacket does not belong in the pants.

But in the end I would say that you can ask 1000 people about such a topic and you will get 1000 different opinions in response 😉

Fascinating reading about people's different opinions on this. I've seen some people tuck sweaters into their jeans, more when I was at uni (years ago), and tucked sweatshirts / long sleeved tees. Wide belts played a big part with that.

If given a choice to wear with jeans, a tucked long sleeved tee or a jumper (sweater) in public, I'd rather tuck a long sleeved tee.

here's a still from some old footage I stumbled on when looking at nylon shellsuits being worn. Best of it comes from early 1990's sporting events.
